Part of the challenge to further learn and develop our own individual style is to constantly think of projects to test our limits in all facets of a photo shoot. Whether it is how we communicate with our clients or the way we manipulate the images in post.
I had the privilege of working with a funny lady who just epitomises style. I wanted to work with vintage for an up coming competition and play around with lots of props.
It just so happens Rachel owned a boutique retro shop and was just what I needed. So we both spent a Sunday afternoon playing around and all in all having a good time.
Prior to starting the shoot, I had a look around and loved this huge wall with cracking in the render: it was screaming vintage! I did try to edit one and clean it right up, but the general consensus was, leave the cracks alone. When I entered Rachel’s shop it was crammed with gorgeous retro outfits and some of the most adorable shoes. I fell in love with the ports and hats she had on display. I really could have spent a fortune in there.
